Pet Hippo Humphrey Kills His Owner
Hippopotamus Humphrey was “like a son” to South African farmer Marius Els. The man raised his pet from the age of 5 months. Marius used to “ride” his 1,200 kg hippo’s back in the past. And now Mr. Els is gone. It’s not that safe to have a relationship with the most dangerous animal in Africa. Marius was gouged by his 6-year-old pet to death. The animal repeatedly bit his owner in a fierce attack. The 41-year-old man’s mutilated body submerged in a river. He had been dead for an unknown period of time. His death was tragic.
